A special workshop accompanied with a Mat Pilates workout, designed to help you understand the essential role of the core in a female’s body, and how to strengthen it.
Ladies—this one’s for you! Discover the vital role your core plays in supporting overall health, mobility, and function, and learn how physiotherapy and Pilates can work hand-in-hand to improve your posture, address common concerns like “mum tum” and “mum bum,” and build confidence at every stage of life.
This session is thoughtfully designed for women at all stages—whether you’re preparing for pregnancy, currently expecting, navigating postpartum recovery, or beyond.
Led by Clare Tang, Women’s Health Physiotherapist from BalanceCore, in collaboration with Altum Pilates, this workshop will empower you with practical knowledge and techniques to strengthen your core and deepen your understanding of your unique female body.

Understand the Core’s Vital Role in Women’s Health: Learn how the core affects every aspect of a woman’s physical well-being, from posture to movement and injury prevention.
Explore how physiotherapy addresses key stages of a woman’s life, including pre-pregnancy, prenatal, postpartum recovery, and beyond.
Learn the impact of common conditions like diastasis recti, pelvic floor dysfunction, and postural imbalances—and how to prevent or manage them.

Experience a live demonstration showing real-time activation of a female pelvic floor and deep core muscles using advanced ultrasound imaging.

You’ll be led through a quick but impactful Mat Pilates workout guided by Joanne Chong, founder of Altum Pilates, designed to teach the fundamentals of core activation and proper movement patterns. This session will not only reinforce the concepts covered but also equip you with exercises to practise at home. And don’t worry—it’ll be both challenging and rewarding!
