Holistic care for a woman’s every life stage.
We know that women face unique physical challenges throughout their lives. Our specialised physiotherapy services are designed to support women at all stages—whether you’re dealing with postural issues, pregnancy-related changes, or menopause.
THE COMPLEXITIES OF THE FEMALE BODY
Throughout her life, a woman’s body undergoes significant transformations—but beyond these stages, women experience pain and physical challenges differently than men.
Hormonal changes, structural differences, and unique biomechanical factors mean that women require specialised musculoskeletal care not just during pregnancy or menopause, but throughout their lives.
At BalanceCore, we provide tailored physiotherapy for women, recognising these distinct needs. Led by Women’s Health specialist Clare Tang, our treatments are designed to meet the complexities of the female body at every stage.
Physiotherapy and Women’s Health Support, for Women, by Women.
At BalanceCore, we understand that a woman’s body undergoes unique transformations throughout her life. From pregnancy and childbirth to menopause and beyond, these changes can bring about specific health challenges that require specialised care. Led by our Women’s Health specialist Clare Tang, we are proud to offer tailored physiotherapy solutions that address the physical and hormonal shifts women experience, ensuring personalised support at every stage of life.
-
We focus on pelvic floor rehabilitation, addressing dysfunctions like incontinence or pelvic pain, especially during pregnancy and postnatal recovery. Strengthening these core muscles is essential for supporting overall health.
-
Our expert physiotherapists provide personalised care to manage these changes, ensuring you stay healthy and strong both during and after pregnancy. Postpartum is a critical time not only to regain core strength but also to relearn how to properly engage the core and address any lingering pain or dysfunction, setting the foundation for long-term strength and mobility.
-
Menopause brings hormonal changes that affect muscle strength, bone density, and joint stability. Our physiotherapy programmes focus on managing symptoms, strengthening the body, and maintaining bone health to prevent conditions like osteoporosis. We also work with women diagnosed with osteopenia or osteoporosis to manage their condition, prevent falls, and slow down bone density loss. Our treatments are designed to reduce joint stiffness, improve postural stability, and enhance overall mobility, helping you live an active and independent life well into your later years.
-
We also provide care for women experiencing chronic pain related to postural issues, hormonal changes, or injury. By addressing the root cause of your discomfort through a combination of manual therapy, exercises, and lifestyle adjustments, we help you achieve lasting relief.
WHEN SHOULD I SEE A PHYSIOTHERAPIST?
Before Pregnancy
Start physiotherapy early to address musculoskeletal issues that may worsen during pregnancy, boosting comfort and confidence.
During Pregnancy
Benefit from safe, personalised exercises that promote maternal and baby health, and help prepare you for a smoother labor.
After Birth
Postpartum rehabilitation focuses on comprehensive physical assessment and treatment to manage conditions related to pregnancy and childbirth, such as diastasis recti and other musculoskeletal changes. We work with women who have given birth to help them relearn how to properly engage and strengthen the core and pelvic floor muscles, which are often altered by pregnancy and birth. This ensures a safer, quicker recovery and helps restore long-term strength and function, even for those without a specific diagnosis.
Menopause & Beyond
Continue physiotherapy to manage hormonal changes, strengthen bones and muscles, and safely maintain an active, independent lifestyle during perimenopause and post-menopause.
Due to biological differences, women are more likely to experience more severe musculoskeletal issues than men, with studies indicating that females are more likely to suffer from chronic pain.
Our Women’s Health Services

We take the time to understand the full picture of your body’s health, focusing on getting to the root of the issue rather than quick fixes—to ensure lasting relief, using our one-of-a-kind physiotherapy approach called The BalanceCore® Method.
